What to Bring to Your Bridal Appointment

Getting ready for your first bridal shopping appointment, but unsure what to expect? Coming to your appointment prepared can make your appointment go that much smoother, so we’re helping you out by sharing our best tips for what you should (and shouldn’t) bring to your appointment.

Ideas (and an Open Mind)

Before your appointment, find inspiration in magazines and on Pinterest so you have an idea of what kinds of dresses you might want to try on. Show dresses you like to your stylist, and this will help her know which dresses to pull for you to try on that you may like. While we love when brides come in with ideas, we also encourage you to keep an open mind! You may be pleasantly surprised by a dress that’s out of your comfort zone, or it just may help you be more certain about your initial decisions.

Lots of brides ask what undergarments to wear to their appointment. We recommend wearing something comfortable in either nude or white, so that your underwear doesn’t distract from the dresses you’re trying on. This way, you can focus on the dresses!

We love hosting guests at your appointment. We allow each bride to bring three loved ones to help you be more confident in your decisions and celebrate with you when you find the perfect dress! However, we encourage brides to be picky about which guests they bring—try to limit your group only to those whose opinions you most trust. Too many voices can drown out your own, making you unsure of what you want.
